Knowledge isn’t knowledge,
unless you share it.
Over the last three years, I’ve had the pleasure of sharing my passion for user-centred design with students at the University. Together, we plant the seeds of a user-centred mindset, cultivate them with design methodologies, and watch them bloom in real-world scenarios. Click here to find more course details.
Visual language is the key
Starting from the early weeks, we introduce students to visual design techniques such as mood boards, sketching, and sketch noting, fostering understanding in visual communication. By presenting uncomplicated themes, we prompt students to transform words, phrases, and connections into imagery, icons, sketches, lines, and arrows.
Visual thinking exercises around the theme "Your preferred dish and its preparation."
Students voluntarily form groups and determine their communication tools and individual responsibilities. Each semester, the teaching team will select a popular social topic, such as mental well-being, animal conservation, and cost of living, to foster a relevant context. Encourage students to explore wider and dive deeper into these problems.

Make ideation fun!
I designed a tutorial that focuses on introducing low-fidelity prototypes and understanding their importance. Using the Worst Possible Idea ideation method, I aim to provide students with a laughable experience, along with practical guidance in effectively translating their design concepts into tangible prototypes.
By doing hands-on exercises, students gain insights into design iterations and the importance of lo-fi prototyping. The tutorial emphasises the importance of using simple, cost-efficient artefacts to test concepts at an early stage.
Hands-on tutorial I designed, aim to introduce students to low-fidelity prototyping by using creative methods.
Students rapidly went through the research stage and used paper-based tools to build lo-fi prototypes.
